How To Repair Tear In Nylon Down Jacket
[GEAR] [ADVICE] Best way to repair hole in nylon/down jacket?
I have a nylon, down-filled jacket that got a 1/3 inch hole burned into information technology, probably by some random campfire spark. The fill is starting to come out of information technology a lilliputian. I know there are different brands of nylon record, but wanted to see if anyone here has experience or communication for making this blazon of repair. What's the all-time tape make? Are in that location other repair options y'all might recommend?

And remember to cut it into a circle shape, so the corners don't pare up.

Tin confirm that Tenacious Record is the best. People bring this kind of repair into my shop all the time, and we usually just send them off with a gyre of TT. I've tried other brands, this is the best and easiest to apply.

sandwich two pieces together and heat with a blow dryer the glue will bond with the other piece of tape, giving yous a solid patch. This also works for duct tape.

If it is on the front on a good spot, then get an AT/Pct/CDT or other patch and sew it over the hole.

this is style dependent but I do love a good patch on an old jacket. Would nonetheless recommend laying some tenacious tape nether the patch... then hole- tenacious tape- patch to cover and look bad-ass.

I have used random tent-repair tape on mine. Worked fine on a polish part of the arm; didn't work so well on a seam.

spinnaker tape - used on sails and available in many colours works well.
